The library meets

The objective of the initiative organised by Fondazione Benetton is to offer a more extensive analysis and knowledge of the wealth of documents held in the library, archives and map library, and unfolds every year through a series of monthly events.

The aim of promoting appreciation of the documentation centre’s collections, mainly dedicated to the topics of landscape, Veneto history and the history and civilisation of games, is achieved through dialogue with experts who are able to focus on the particular aspects – by pertinence, specificity, uniqueness – of the collections, which are valuable for the study and research opportunities they afford, as well as just for sharing them with a broader audience.

The cycle of lectures, which began in 2010 with an event dedicated to the archive of Lionello Puppi, art historian, professor emeritus of the University Ca’ Foscari of Venice and member of the Foundation’s Scientific committee, continued through to 2021, with 37 events and the participation of more than 70 speakers.

More information on the cycle of lectures are available in the italian version.
